I am looking to purchase a telephone headset what should I look for in purchasing one.

look for comfort first .No point in using one if it's not comfy even if it has great sound .YOu'll need to physicaly test a few at a store to see which ones fit the best .Plantronics are good ones .

It kind of depends if want a cheap one then go wired if you want something more professional go with one of the wireless ones they have. I know Plantronics is letting people try their wireless headsets for free I got mine from www.plantronics.com/ht1

The wired ones are all pretty standard. I've had good luck with Panasonic and GE ones, though.

I don't know about the wireless BlueTooth ones, unfortunately.

I got Cyber Acoustics...it sounds crystal clear...the earpiece is really soft and exchangeable...it gotta be soft, because after a while all of them get kinda uncomfortable....

Anything except GE. I've never had any luck with anything GE
