That is Tv Land. We do have a similar agency that is to help fight terroism, but it isn't anything like CTU and it doesn't have Jack Bauer.

It is only a TV show. Not real. The FBI and many state law enforcement dept. do have units for counter terrorism, the training is very tough and the requirements to be selected even harder. Its like getting into special forces in the military. You can check the FBI web site though for general information about being an agent.

yes, but in different names and they will never admitt to it. the Fbi has both the HRT (Hostage Rescue Team) and the JTTF (joint Terrorism Task Force), which works along with the Cia, Secret Service and local police force, like the NYPD. The Cia has a unit and the Nsa has one to. Homeland Security has a terror watch station that monitors events around the world and a response team also.
