Good question. Basic differences in belief don't matter, Just because on doesn't believe in the trinity, or another about baptism. it's up to all of us listen and take to heart what advice we might feel we need. As long as both sides are open minded, there's no reason to give or receive counsel or advice from other faiths.

Spirituality is different than religion. I speak to people all the time about their spiritual beliefs and spirituality. I also talk them about their religion and why they believe the way they do. As far as advice. I get advice from people I know and trust. This is regardless of their spiritual or religious views.

I would depend on the situation and whether or not what the individual had to say was helpful and effective.

If the person passes judgment on me by saying something like, "If you keep that up, you're going to hell," I'd most likely think or say out loud, "Thanks but no thanks." If on the other hand, they honestly listened to the problem and gave advice and help that directly impacted on the problem, I would be just as thankful as I would be with a person from my own spiritual tradition.

I have on many occasions in the past, and I assume I shall do so again in the future. Just because I am a non-believer does not mean that I don't consider valid advice and good intentions benificial. I too like to view the world from all angles.

Sometimes, it depends on what the advice was. God uses all kinds of people to talk to us. The Holy Spirit is the counselor and he can tell us if the advice is from God or not.

Well, yes, that could happen. If God can uses a jackass to deliver a message, He could use an Atheist or Agnostic just as easily.

Of course there are lots of people out there with lots of good advice, and much of what people say has no conflict whatsoever with my beliefs.

No, I don't believe in spiritual interactions and have no reason to seek spiritual advice.

My concept of "spirit" is that it is the life force permeating the universe and is not unique to any person or thing.
