A pediatric neurologist can help with the seizures, and can refer her to an audiologist for hearing evaluation and treatment, and a pediatric speech pathologist for speech therapy. Be sure to have her hearing evaluated prior to seeing the speech pathologist: it is vital information prior to developing a speech treatment plan.

I am not a doctor, but seems to me hearing and speech problems can be corrected most of the time, at least to a level where the child could be employable and employed and provide for herself when she grows up. Seizures are dependent on what the cause is. Every day new and outstanding discoveries are made to solve a lot of medical problems. I've heard of seizures being controlled by medication. But, have her monitored by your doctor occasionally to check her progress. If he's a specialist he would be more than willing to accommodate your requests and needs. Maybe in time something like stem cell research can help, or maybe some operation. Just be sure you check out the doctor really well before embarking on any operation.

It should be controlable at least, with help from a doctor, or a team of doctors.
First you need to find out what is causing the seizures. The difficulty with speech is probably related to that with hearing because she wouldn't have learned how to make the sounds.
I was a bit slow in actually talking- Not because I didn't learn, but because I took some brain damage from a rather vicious case of spotted fever at about 3 years of age. I still don't talk as well as I would like, and that has caused me frustration. But I have learned to make myself understood for the most part.
Good luck!

I feel sorry for the difficult situation, curable unfortunately no, but potentially treatable yes, your doctor should be able to make appropriate referrals to specialised institutes, good luck

the child will most likely grow out of the seizures...sounds like childhood epilepsy.....try to get her a speach trainer as soon as possible to try to push through the speach problems...the earlier you nip it in the butt the easier it is going to be for her to speak normally in the future.
