Any professional poker players out there with good exp., and back exp., dealing with money. Banruptcy, right, poor. I planning to enter a tournament @ bay 101, casino, should i go for it? My experience as a poker player is good, i know the basics and have a good poker face.

Or should i stick to video games just for fun, without money involve.

Forget the folks talking about the casino being the only winner -- that's true of all games of chance.

Poker isn't a game of chance. Over the long haul, it's a game of skill with random elements. Good players can and do win money over time. There's no inherent odds against you besides a table rake, or seat/entry fee.

I can't tell you if you're good enough to play with an expectation of winning. But I will warn you of one of Mike Caro's laws: most players are not as good as they think they are. If you're not sure, you're just blowing a lot of money on entertainment.

There are plenty of ways to test yourself in cheap(ish) home games and tournaments to see where you sit, then you have to decide whether to invest to get better and/or take a chance at a sizeable tournament, or save yourself money.

It really doesn't sound like you are ready for entering a major tournament at Bay 101. Unless you are just talking a small <$100 tournament. For any kind of higher stakes tournament 'know[ing] the basics' and having 'a good poker face' is certainly not your ticket to a big prize.

I'd practice online and when you are good enough to win a seat in a major tournament, you'll be good enough to play in one.

The truth of the matter is, you already "know" the answer to that question, right? And "all" of us do that at one time or another. A part of us "wants" to do something that is fun or whatever, and the "idea" of MAYBE winning some money, is exciting, right? So we ask other people, should I do "this,? or should I do "that? Then if you take the suggestion of the people who said, "do that," and you "lose? Then you can at least "partially" blame the people who suggested it. Right? Wrong. Because it doesn't matter if 1 person says, "go ahead, gamble your money away!" Or if 100 people say it, you made that decision on your own, and so if you lose, it is "your" doing, not theirs. Either way? Good luck, and maybe just let your concience be your guide.

When you gamble, it's usually everyone else who wins.

Best to stick with the video games, you'll have much better odds of winning. Heck, if my winnings from my "Wheel of Fortune" game for my old Apple2 computer had been real, I'd be a millionnaire by now.
