My big fat doctor says I have to get below 200 lbs. lol- it's true!
So I'm at 222 now after losing 67 lbs. a few years back thanks to Atkins. I've leveled off and can't seem to lose the next 30 lbs. that I want to. I don't look too fat- I carry the weight well--at least with clothes on-- but I was shocked to read an article stating that a gov't report classifies me (5' 11" and 222 lbs.) as OBESE. Not just a little over weight but OBESE!!!! I have to go cry now.... excuse me please.............

I guess I shouldn't complain-- I was 335lbs. back in college. THAT'S what I would consider obese. Couldn't hide that stomach well. lol
Have a great day!!!

P.S. If that's you in the avatar pic.... you're hot!

I am Obese by definition. I am however fit. I do not have High blood pressure or diabetes, or cholesterol. I do need to lose weight however. I am losing and will continue to lose by natural means. I walk daily 3 miles and reduced my caloric intake by 10 percent. It is working well, I have lost 63 lbs. so far and need to lose 47 more. Obesity is not a decease it is a choice. I am making better choices now.

I have PCOS, which is a metabolic/sugar disorder and IBS, irritable bowel syndrome. I have never had a problem keeping my weight steady, but I can not seem to lose any. But both of these things are working against me. With the PCOS, I should cut carbs in order to lose, but with the IBS, I need to carbs to sustain a healthy stomach, if you know what I mean. So the road is hard, but I am trying.

I've gained 20 lbs. this yr. alone, and I don't really know why. Same foods, routine, etc. My dr. thinks it could be my thyroid gland.
