oh my.
we look the same and are basically asking the same question.
except the man i am asking about is a bit older. i don't think 9 yrs is too much. i have a 20-yr-old friend who is dating a 32-yr-old and they have a pretty healthy thing going on there. i say if you feel like you are on the same plain as him- it should be fine. the only thing is, is that it might knock off a decade of togetherness when you are both elderly... but it may be worth it!

It relies upon; i think of that once 2 people who're devoted are a minimum of 25 or older then the age difference would be as much as ten-15 years. those between 18-25 could have a optimal of 5 years; those from 14-18 could have a a million year difference, and every person who's youthful than 14 should not be dating.

Age doesn't matter if you guys really love each other, keep up with your relationship. Don't listen to people that tells you he's too old or your too pretty for him. If you guys really love each other do what your heart feels to do don't leave your man just because you feel that he is too old. I know that there will be a lot of rumors and everything but it doesn't matter what they say. I am in the same situation but i don't care what other guys tell me Once a guy told me why do girls go out with older guys well i told him that they are more mature and that they really want a serious relationship not a game, he just stayed quiet. But yea just be with him and don't listen with others tell you. GOOD LUCK

These days anything goes- but it all depends on the maturity of both parties involved. I am 31 and was dating a 48 yr old widower . It did not work out but not because of an age difference. If it feels comfortable, go for it.

I don't think so.
Age becomes irrelevant at that age, I think. It becomes just a two digit number, nothing else.
I was 16 when I met the mother of my child, who at that time, was 25. We clicked, we treated one another with respect, with love, and a whole lot of loyalty. It's what kept us strong for so many years.
We are no longer together, but we have managed to stay friends.
If two hearts are in it, age is nothing. You will hear opinions, and snide remarks, but let them slide. Nobody who judges a relationship, based on age, is worth a single second of your time.

Yes and No. Yes, because one is just entering adulthood and trying to find their way, and the other has been for a while and is more established and set in their ways. No, because some younger people are very mature and could keep up with the older person as for as level of thinking and the content of their conversation. So I guess it just depends on who you are dealing with.

No you shouldn't worry about that 9 years is fine just dont get anyone who is twice your age like 40-50 lol...But i dont think age matters in any relationship as long as he treats you good... your ok! hope this helps!

i am a 60 year young man my girlfriend came to me and said that she wants to see me every day. i said ok. we went for walks we had dinner. we held hands, she held her body close to mine, she became very lovely to me. she started coming to stay with me of the week end. and did not want to go back home on sunday night. we love each other and i am convinced she loves me.She will be thirty.......in 10 years time. Love is in the heart not in numbers or on a piece of paper or in what other people think.

If the guy is the older one it can work, but the gal should be very mature. Later in life it should be more equal. Men mature slower. But a decade could affect sex life.
