The word "trinity" is not in the Bible and neither is the concept.
It is a false doctrine. Jesus never claimed to be equal to God as stated at John 5:18-19--"Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.Then answered Jesus and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise."
Jesus also said he was ascending to heaven to "his God" as stated at John 20:17--"Jesus saith unto her, Touch me not; for I am not yet ascended to my Father: but go to my brethren, and say unto them, I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God." (So how could he be God if he was going up to his God?)
The Bible mentions several times that Jesus sits at God's right hand. Hebrews 10:12--"But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;"
Other Scriptures to read are Luke 22:69, Mark 16:19, Acts 7:55,56, Romans 8:34, Colossians 3:1, Hebrews 12:2 and 1Peter 3:22
God also exalted Jesus to be a Prince and Saviour as Acts 5:31 states: "Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins." (God exalted Jesus to be a Prince, not an equal God.)
Jesus said he was not as great as his Father so they are not equal in power.
John 14:28--"Ye have heard how I said unto you, I go away, and come again unto you. If ye loved me, ye would rejoice, because I said, I go unto the Father: for my Father is greater than I."
Also Jesus said at Matthew 26:39--"And he went a little farther, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt."
Jesus and Almighty God are two separate spirit persons. The holy spirit is not a person. It does not have a personal name like Jesus and his Father Jehovah do. People are said to be "filled" with holy spirit. Are they filled with a person? No, because it is the force used by God to empower his servants and to assist them in accomplishing his will.

There is no word "trinity' in Scripture. Just like no
word "rapture" exists in Scripture either.
Where the concept of the Trinity is a distortion of
something Christ said, and the mention of the Godhead, the Father, Son, and Holy spirit, which AGREE in ONE.
The concept of the Rapture is based on an event
mentioned a number of times.
Jesus said one will be left in the field, and the other left.
And Paul said some will be changed in the twinkling of
an eye, and caught up with Christ in the air.

Now that you know that the word trinity isn't in the bible. Did you know that the concept of the trinity isn't there either.

rs p. 405 pars. 1-2 Trinity ***
The New Encyclopædia Britannica says: “Neither the word Trinity, nor the explicit doctrine as such, appears in the New Testament, nor did Jesus and his followers intend to contradict the Shema in the Old Testament: ‘Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord’ (Deut. 6:4). . . . The doctrine developed gradually over several centuries and through many controversies. . . . By the end of the 4th century . . . the doctrine of the Trinity took substantially the form it has maintained ever since.”—(1976), Micropædia, Vol. X, p. 126.

The New Catholic Encyclopedia states: “The formulation ‘one God in three Persons’ was not solidly established, certainly not fully assimilated into Christian life and its profession of faith, prior to the end of the 4th century. But it is precisely this formulation that has first claim to the title the Trinitarian dogma. Among the Apostolic Fathers, there had been nothing even remotely approaching such a mentality or perspective.”—(1967), Vol. XIV, p. 299.

*** rs p. 406 par. 1 Trinity ***
In The Encyclopedia Americana we read: “Christianity derived from Judaism and Judaism was strictly Unitarian [believing that God is one person]. The road which led from Jerusalem to Nicea was scarcely a straight one. Fourth century Trinitarianism did not reflect accurately early Christian teaching regarding the nature of God; it was, on the contrary, a deviation from this teaching.”—(1956), Vol. XXVII, p. 294L.

(Romans 15:4-6) . . .” 4 For all the things that were written aforetime were written for our instruction, that through our endurance and through the comfort from the Scriptures we might have hope. 5 Now may the God who supplies endurance and comfort grant YOU to have among yourselves the same mental attitude that Christ Jesus had,

6 that with one accord YOU may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Elohim as been noted can mean gods.

but according to Stong's

It can also mean Supreme God,

It can also mean magistrates

Dictionaries offer alternate meanings of words.

example; Bob can mean to move up and down or it can be a personal name.

If we read Bob is in the kitchen.

It doesn't mean "someone named Bob is moving up and down in the kitchen.

When Bible translators use Elohim to mean "Supreme God", it doesn't mean "Supreme Gods", other wise they would have used Gods in their translation.

When the Supreme God says "Let us" he is talking to Jesus, the firstborn of all creation, His Only Begotten Son.

He is not talking to himself.

Using the search option in the first link below (BibleGateway.com), the word "trinity" does not appear in the "new international version" or the "king james version". You can use the link to search other versions if you wish.

There are two references in the quran where "three" can be translated as the Trinity (searchtruth.com):

"O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! Do not exceed the limits in your religion, nor say of Allah aught but the truth. The Messiah Iesa (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary), was (no more than) a Messenger of Allah and His Word, ("Be!" - and he was) which He bestowed on Maryam (Mary) and a spirit (Rooh) created by Him; so believe in Allah and His Messengers. Say not: "Three (trinity)!" Cease! (it is) better for you. For Allah is (the only) One Ilah (God), Glory be to Him (Far Exalted is He) above having a son. To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is in the earth. And Allah is AllSufficient as a Disposer of affairs. "
( سورة النساء , An-Nisa, Chapter #4, Verse #171)

"Surely, disbelievers are those who said: "Allah is the third of the three (in a trinity)." But there is no ilah (god) (none who has the right to be worshipped) but One Ilah (God -Allah). And if they cease not from what they say, verily, a painful torment will befall the disbelievers among them. "
( سورة المائدة , Al-Maeda, Chapter #5, Verse #73)

The word Trinity is found nowhere in the Bible. Not one verse. The word was invented by theologians back in the day to describe a very Biblical concept.

If you don't like the word, that's perfectly fine. I don't use it too often myself, but I still believe in the concept behind it, and the One God, who is the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Distinct, equal, but by no means separate.

The word trinity is not in the Bible...It is an adjective (Theological ) to describe the "Godhead" which by the way IS used in the Bible....The word "trinity" is a term used to denote the Christian doctrine that God exists as a unity of three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. . Each of the persons is distinct from the other, yet related in essence.

The Trinity
God is three persons
Each person is divine
There is only one God.

The word omnipotent is not in the Bible either...yet God is omnipotent

Get the Hebrew Old Testament and look up the word "Elohim" that is used for the Triune God. It is translated to English using the word "us."

1 John 5:7, "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."

The word Trinity is quite new to our language, so you will not find it in the bible.

We "made up" the word to describe the triune God head.

You will also be unable to find many modern words in the bible.

As our culture and language grows, we tend to use new words for older counterparts, but it does not change the meaning, just the word currently used and understood.

The word "trinity" is not in the Bible but the desciption is in various places. Neither is the term "hyperstatic union" of the personages of God but it is clearly a Biblical concept.
