a guy i was dating for a year just woke up and decided he was not in love with me anymore...we have known each other since we were 10. we were in love from the first time we met all through high school then we lost contact and saw each other again and decided to hook up. he was having a very hard time. i stayed and helped him through it. one year later he wakes up and decides he doesn't love me. now he is soooo cold everytime we speak or see each other. can any guy tell why this happened or why he is so cold. i know no one can speak for him just kinda curious what any one thinks

I had a similar situation myself, and when you are that close it is very difficult emotionally. Back off and allow him to be "just your friend". If you truly love him you will let him live his life even if that means he's not your lover. It sounds like what matters is the deep friendship rather than the dating. Do what you can to keep that connection...discuss this with him...the pal side of your relationship and leave behind the intimate part.
Girl, after that get yourself some chocolate and watch a sappy movie like "Beaches" have a good cry and then go for a long run.
Chocolate=yum, Crying=catharsis (emotional release), and Running=happy natural chemicals in your brain like endorphins.

From a female's point of view, if he can wake up and say that he don't love you anymore then the question that comes to mind is was he ever in love with you from the beginning? Maybe it was that he loved you, but that he was not in love with you..that does make a difference. Maybe ask yourself did you change or do anything different to make him stop loving you? Evidently something happened and I hope that is wasn't another woman who he's gotten involved with. If I were you I would try to talk to him if he's willing to let you talk and he listens to see what happened or as to why he turned cold. Then maybe it is possible that he has grown apart from you. Something happened and I would find out to ease my own mind...only he knows the real answer to why!

Cuz maybe he never loved you iin the beginning....my ex bf did that to me after 2 and a half years...he said he fell out of love with me and i was like huh? But then when i thought about it - i was like he never loved me i n the first place!

maybe hes just going threw the process id trying too figure out who what he wants the rest of his life and odvuously you arent cutting it. or hes just tired of the whole thing had decidee to move on downe that lonesome highways of life hons, get over it, it will take some time. you to move on downe that lonesome highwaysof l life hons. sometimes theres no traces of love things just hapen in this life time of ours. why we dont know.

i dont know why exactly people do this my ex did this to me and we were going out 7 years i dont think they wake up and say they dont love you i think they are scared about settling down, growing up, taking responsibilities in life...other people talk to them probably and instead of making their own choices in life they listen to others that are married with kids, think they are stuck, or something like that
