When one keeps their beliefs to themselves, they are allowing the others to freely and without condemnation to exercise their own opinions. Nothing like stating you are a Christian and then asking an atheist to answer a question about creationism. You know it's an uphill climb.

Southpaw, I think people really do base their opinion of another person on their religion, race, sexual orientation, or social status. At least that is what I have observed in this forum, and in the world around me.
I find that sad. There are good people in this world who are being passed over simply because another thinks they don't "measure up."
Who are we to judge, and yet we all do it daily no matter how much we deny it. However, there are those who are more accepting of others, as you certainly are. The closed-minded types are the scariest, and the most unfortunate, in my opinion.
They spend too much time trying to get everyone to see things through their eyes instead of allowing people the chance to see things on their own.

People get to caught up in religion.Religion is a slick road to hell. It is a grave with both ends knocked out.The key is a personal relationship with the Father through Jesus Christ.I don't care what religion a person is. I care about them as a person. If a persons religion makes them talk about other people or judge other people then I question whether they are real or not.

False religion, identified by rage, hatred, and almost endless bloodshed has been the cause of insurmountable grief for billions and billions of people. Everybody has been touched in some way by this, but most do not want to accept that their particular faith may have been instrumental in causing such anguish. therefore they lash out at the "opposition" in order to justify their adherence to their own church. if they don't know what faith you are they don't attack, you might just be their fellow worshipper.

i'm a Christian. I known Christ at age 7 at summer season camp. I grew in the Lord for years into intense college until element went downhill. i became clinically determined with a persistent, incurable circumstance. there became no longer something that would desire to be finished. i became indignant, and issues in basic terms stored getting worse. I went to college and get into some relationships which could have in no way took place in the 1st place. I grew further and further far flung from the church and closer to an eclectic pagan direction. I left the church for sometime. It rather all began whilst i became approximately sixteen years previous. no longer something gave the impression to be going ideal in my existence. I blamed God, and that i became useful that if he became out of my existence, then issues would be plenty extra beneficial. I grew to become to alcohol and different issues to mask precisely how plenty soreness I had in my physique. no person rather knew what became occurring. i became useful that no longer something would substitute. I gave up and easily observed my very own procedures. I have been given into the Tarot and used them to manipulate various the ideas that I made. I pondered on the golden easy. I solid my love spells and spells for healing. The frightening element became that issues worked. I had no theory what I had gotten myself into until later. for useful, God spoke of as me returned into his existence in his very own loving way, and that i graciously known that calling. I rededicated my existence to Christ and each little thing has replaced because of the fact of that. all of the failings that I blamed on God weren't his fault in any respect. They have been mostly my very own and others in basic terms because of the fact of situations. this is existence from time to time. i'd in no way turn my returned on Christ returned.

Because they get very uncomfortable when someone mentions Religion due to the fact, and especially if one mentions God or Jesus Christ, that they lack an understanding or have a bitter attitude.

I think it's funny that some of them completely missed the Flanders "left-handed" reference...

If you put Ned Flanders out there, you're pretty much advertising that you're an atheist.

I guess, just by stating your religion or lack of it, that they take it as an immediate threat.
