It is safer than Auto. statistically there are less accidents by air ,when compared to miles traveled.

Travelling by air is perfectly safe as long as the aircraft does not plummet from the sky in a ranging fireball, hitting the ground at 500 miles an hour. It gets a but dicey then.

Yes, it is safe to travel by air. If you are the 1st time traveling by air. A few things you need to take care of: -
1) If you are still afraid, make sure that you take SIA fright
2) If you can't stand long distance travel, than you have to prepare giddy pills
3) During the flight, try to swallow saliva so that you don't have ear pain

It is just as safe to travel by air as it is to travel by car. The only difference I see is that you can get to your destination faster and their are more people in one transportation device. A tip if flying, chew bubble gum and bring a book, it takes your mind of the lift and land part.

of course.

if you dont meet anyone trying to bomb or hijack the plane in this crazy world, it's actually quite safe.

but then again, there's always air turbulances to look out for. the worst injury you can get is probably a big bump on your head, or slight concussion.

and if the pilot is a nervous newbie, you'll be better off in a car.

but this's just my humble opinions =) hahaaa..
