I have a wireless fence for our bulldog. It works very well. PetSafe is the brand we use. I have noticed that the wireless doesn't work as well if you have a bigger dog because the jolt doesn't get there attention as much. They do make collars that have different levels of shock. The ones that you dig and put in the ground are stronger and would probably work better for your pets, but you do have to dig and put the fence in the ground.

Yes they do work and quit well I might add. Your dog has to be trained ,not just thrown out there. The dog is trained by boundry flags and it may take a few shocks before it learns the boundries. There's different kinds of systems out there ,the do it your selfers which I dont recommend , the ones that are professionally installed by a dealer I would go with.I had mine installed that way ,by a dealer. The local distributor is Hudson Valley Boundries ,and the company is Dog Watch. If I have any questions or concerns I can call them, and they'll talk to me ,if any piece of equipment needs to be fixed or updated, they do it , all pieces are warrenteed for the life I have the system.I've had it now ,it wiil be 6 years this January. Before it was installed they came out to my home met my dogs ,assured me that my dogs could be contained by the system ,and checked out my land. You'll find many people against this form of containment ,but for me it has worked.

It's been my experience that breeds like Labs will quickly learn that if the hit the fence at full speed, it won't go off. Then they start spending more time outside the fence than they do inside for no other reason than that they can.

I have a male boxer who is the worst for running away. I got him the PetSafe Wireless fence and within 3 days he was able to be in the yard un supervised. I recomend it highly. You can pick up the wireless fence at HomeDepot, Lowe's, and PetCo. They run just under $300. Or you can also find them on E-Bay.

Well for one thing if you knew what you were doing the dogs would do as they are told.I have a Rotti lab mixes and he dose what he is told to do.and we didn't have to use a shock collar or a electronic fences. Get them into school and you go to cause to me you don't know what you are doing .
