there is a very small village called Alton, only 1 minute away, also there is the small town of Ashboure, only about 5 minutes away, if you go to Ashbourne don't forget to ask them about one of there old traditions, it's called Shrove Tide Football, the goals are something like 3 miles apart, it is one side of town against the other. enjoy.
