I am impressed by the software of http://www.typingmaster.com.
If you can practice by yourself, the basics provided in it's free/demo version may be sufficient.

I just did a search under free typing tutor and found these and many more - I learned to type at school some 20 years ago so I dont know what any of these are like but give them a go :)

http://www.sense-lang.org/typing/

http://typingsoft.com/all_typing_tutors.htm (This one has a list of tonnes of different sites and programs check it out!)

http://www.learn2type.com/

http://www.powertyping.com/

http://www.topsy.org/keyboarding.html (COOL this one has a speed test you could try this once you get to know your typing - I just did it once and scored 84.04 words per minute and 356.67 keystrokes per minute with 0 mistakes! YAY LOL sorry im just a little excited as I havent been tested in some years LOL)

Anyway these should all get you started and good luck with your leap into touch typing!!
