If it made the crime rate drop, do you think there would be so many people on death row?
Look at Saudi Arabia where you are convicted on Tuesday and have your head chopped off the following Friday before the prayer time! No trouble with appeals there!
Cannot remember their latest execution figures for this year. You can Google it and find out.
Then you will have your answer in black and white!

Except that states with the death penalty tend to have higher crime rates than those that dont.
If you think that we should murder people to show that murder is wrong then say just that. Dont pretend its about reducing crime.
