I'm pregnant and trying to exercise, but I pulled a muscle in my right buttock...I stopped exercising to rest it, but it's been about 2 weeks and the pain won't go away. The only treatment I could find online is ice or heat. Is that all I can do to speed up recovery?

Thanks for the answers...I can't take Advil since I'm pregnant, only Tylenol and I try to limit that.

I use a heating pad, then an ice pack, then those pain patches but I don't know if you should try the pain patches since you are pregnant. I would ask your doctor about that.

You could try an ice pack, or a really affective way is going to a massage therepist. Hope this helps.

Ice worked for me. There is also a ice and heat stick on pad. You can find those at any drug stores or Wal-Mart. Hope it goes away!

Wait, until you feel comfortable doing the excercise. Untiil then, walk, friend. Walking works out every muscle in the lower body.
