A tattoo is about 7 layers into the skin. It would have to be a pretty deep scrape/cut to damage it.
However if it scars over than it may look crooked or the fine details may be distorted
I have 5 tattoos and have researched them quite a bit.
Also I had psoriasis bad over on of my tattoos and I got scratched real bad by a cat on another. Neither were effected and look the same as they did when I first got them.

It all depends if the tattoo is fresh or been there for awhiles. You will have fading eather way. You should get some A&B Baby Cream. Its like Neosporen but way better. It will allow the road rash to heal and in the process its like tattoo goo. Helps the skin without distortion or loss of the tattoo. Hope that helps

It's probably nothing but I would go to the dermatologist. I had a reaction in my tattoo that my dermatologist diagnosed and treated. Better safe than sorry. Rider (inked and rash free)

yep. The torn skin and scarring will remove parts of the picture or writing. you will either have to have the missing parts refilled over the scarring, or have it redon somewehre else and have it laser removed from its current location.

If the road rash is where the tat is, then, yes, it will mess it up.

You will most likely need to get some work done on it.
