When choosing a gift, think about the couple involved. What are thier hobbies and interests? Also, check to see if they are registered anywhere.

I recently was reading about unique wedding gifts.
One particularly caught my eye.
You can use an old family favorite recipe or one from a cookbook. If it's from a cookbook include it with the gift and if its a family recipe write it on a nice recipe card and include the rest of the recipe cards.
Buy the baking dish or pot and utensils needed to make the recipe, along with all of the dry ingredients. Include a bottle of wine and two glasses, a candle.
Pack everything nicely in the baking dish/pot and add some little mints, napkins, pot holders, trivets, whatever your budget allows.
Then cover the entire package with pretty cellophane and
attach a bow and card.
This might be the first meal they cook together!
Congratulations to the Bride and Groom and you have fun at the reception!

As a resent bride myself i do remember all the running around and the low cash flow after such a big event. As minds go they do get depleted, so anything anyone caring could plan for me for the next couple weeks is GREAT, like dinner!!! Out of the single life and into the kitchen??? Not that fast girls!!! So give them a gift certificate to their favorite restaurant, they can actually walk out and NOT pay. Besides, usually the wife is the real one that remembers gifts. This will be a gift and a thoughtful favor for the happy couple. Unforgettable!!!

The trouble with weddings/honeymoons is that they are over all too quickly.....how about booking them both into a health spa for the night, with champagne in their room and their choice of a treatment for say a month after the wedding?

Le Creuset cast iron enamelled cookware. Expensive, but lasts a lifetime. Both my sisters received this brand of cookware as wedding presents, in 1969 and 1974, still going after close to forty years, (unlike their marriage, loll). Good luck. Cheers=)

Did they register anywhere? I always like to get them something off of there that is different that you are pretty sure nobody will get. Like for my brother (we ended up not because they werent in stock and they weren't going to come in on time) but they had registered for wine glasses and we knew that my family was not going to get them that so we decided that we could get them that for their wedding. But we ended up getting them something else. Or money is always good. Or something romantic that they can use, or something personal like go to:

they have lots of great things for weddings that you can personalize they will always be able to keep it and remember who got it for them.

Why not consider an 'experience' rather than a gift if you have that much to spend- a balloon trip, theatre tkts, something that they would enjoy doing together
