What two adults choose to do in privacy is their own business. What an adult does when he or she preys upon a child is heinous, and should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Anyone find it "interesting" that Foley was molested by a "member of the clergy"? Keep in mind that Foley is Catholic. I would say that "member of clergy" is a euphemism for "priest".

Sad to say, but in my opinion as far as God is concerned Sin is Sin, Whether it be lying, stealing, cheating, committing adultery, committing fornication, etc. All of Gods laws were established to be followed. However, It is my feeling that all Christan's are a work in progress, none in this world are perfect. However, within society i think most would agree it is a great Sin anytime you commit any grievous act against a child. And being a pedophile ranks number 1 at the top. being a Christian we are not supposed to judge, however, I personally find that with any thing relating to harming a child is a great bias with me. What we all must keep in mind is that in the end we will all answer for our own sins and we will stand alone in judgment with the almighty

While we all are sinners. Clear fact, there are none perfect. Sinnlessness would entitle a perfect person. Sins against the indefensible are specially heinous sins that we call crimes. To be a liar and a hypocrite is just adding to the list of sins or transgressions against the statue. To determine which is worst we must make a list of all possible sins that can be committed and rate them from bad to worst and then see where it falls. In the eyes of the law a crime is a crime, is just punished in accordance to the severity of the crime.

There is nothing wrong with being homosexual.

A pedophile takes away someone else's rights.

Betraying the very people you are charged with protecting is pretty bad.

A sin is a sin. It is not what you did, but whether you are willing to change your life and dedicate it to God. Consider Moses. It was just one sin that kept him out of the Promise Land. The question to be answered is, whether the sin was what he did, or presuming that compared to the sins of others, and all the good he did, that it would not matter to God? Making a presumption of knowing what God thinks about one sin or another, is putting yourself on the same level as God.

No one sin is greater than another. They are still against God. God will not look upon the sin or the sinner, and He will not hear those prayers of any sinner until they repent their sins to Jesus and turn their live over to Him.

We most all agree it is a crime for someone to take advantage of someone's youth, vulnerability and inexperience, and that unequal power in a sexual relationship is inherently unethical. Since in the economy of sin you deserve to go to hell simply for being born human, the notion of whether one sin is larger than the next seems a moot point since any sin, even one committed by the first human, is sufficient to damn all humanity in all its generations.

I love this question! I think it is funny that people are trying to equate what Foley did with what Clinton did- I think Monica was over the age of 18!

Edit- You should ask this in the politics section!
