I met a guy while I was in Israel this past summer and we have been going out for a little over a month over the phone/internet etc... (we plan to see each other every few months, hes coming to visit me later in the year etc...)recently, he went away for vacation for a week and didnt tell me he was going (he apologized profusely and promised that he just forgot to tell me) then he was back for a week in which we only spoke like once for around 5 minutes and then he left the country again for a week (this time he told me about it). but he has been acting really strange lately, normally he sends me emails all the time and we speak for hours online each day but recently it seems almost like he is trying to avoid me. he used to send me whole emails about how much he loved me and now he has suddenly stopped. any advice?

Long distance relationships almost never work especially ones over the internet! This guy of yours obviously isn't interested anymore, so I would say move on and find someone nearby to see if you have chemistry with right off the bat and won't keep you wondering what's going on.

I dont think of everybody needs to have an prolonged distance dating. existence occurs and gets in the way, you in basic terms could artwork around it. If somebody needs to be with their long distance BF or GF adequate/or they love them adequate, they are going to pass to the place the different guy or woman is and stop the long distance element. those people who've relationships over the internet or out of state "basically through fact" are probable dropping their time. long distance relationships wont final if there isnt dedication.

the first time we meet someone new and have interest in them... i think we all go thru a phase where we spend hours talking on the phone over nothin...emailing constantly ....taking everything overboard....its all well and good....but i dont think its realistic to continue doing those things over the long run...i've had relationships where I talked on the phone for hours...emailed and chatted online all the time ...but after a while ...i just couldnt do those things anymore..it felt like a chore...and girls dont seem to understand it...eventually i started cutting back on the phone minutes and emails and chat...maybe he's doin the same thing...after a while u can only talk about things only a number of times...besides he may have other important things to do...like advance his career, study for exams, serve his country , take care of his family ....etc...

You should just ask him if he is still committed to you and the relationship. Long-distance relationships take a lot of time, effort, and trust from both parties. Communication is the key to making them work...if you don't have that it wont last long.

He may not be interested in continuing a relationship anymore, or he may just be really busy. The only way you'll ever know is to just ask him!

Sorry to say this but you may not be the only long distance relationship that he has on the go at present. Only way to find out what is going on is to ask him and pray that he is honest with you in his response.

Long distance relationships don't work that often. I just think he might have someone else already and doesn't want to tell you because he doesn't want to hurt your feelings.
