Generally speaking, roadwork signs on motorways are superbly set out, with plenty of warning.

What amzes me, is the way that 200 yards before the closed third-lane (or whatever), people are still overtaking; quite oblivious to everything, and then slam on the brakes and force their way into other traffic.

Some people just pay no attention to anything, and seem incapable of reacting to warning-signs, illuminated signals, lines of cones or the fact that other traffic has changed position or speed.

I don't think there is a problem with the road-signs.

I think it's fine with the road signage. It's some people who
are bad drivers and repeated hard-core offenders that we
should avoid and be alert of when driving on the motorways.

Not really, compared with other countries. My brother drives coaches around Europe and he tells me that signs for all road conditions in the UK are the best.

No, the signs are fine. The problem is large SUV drivers not paying attention talking on the cell, and knocking them over.
