To bow down to the Flying Spaghetti Monster, would not impress the real God. A person could go to hell for that.

Reality is this
Many people say they believe in God, but when hard times come they run, and not stand, and then blame God they did not make it in there hard time, God did not bail, they did.
SO even the believer can come up short on this one.
and they become the flying spaghetti monster. Flying off when the test of faith shall save the just.
You will know them by the fruits of the Spirit, if they love one another, if they show kindness, if they do not judge, if they are soft spoken, if they have the gift of helps.
Yep, and people like to show them-self, you never have to judge them. They just show it all, by what they say.

I think that if a person dies for thier belief in either the spaghetti monster or god, that would be a pretty good indication, then again they could have just taken a joke too far...

That's a really good question. I think for a lot of people, they don't realy believe in God, but say they do, and still go to church because it's seen to be a good moral and socially acceptable thing to do. It's a bit like the emperor's new clothes, they don't really see the clothes, but say they do, so they aren't the "odd man out".

We don't. We have to take it on faith. :-)
I tend to give people the benefit of the doubt. If someone is being sincere and they say they believe in something...I believe them.
