Use your own brain. If you believe that there is a spiritual force in the universe and that man has a way to tap into that force, then you should figure it out by yourself. Others have... Religion is just a philosophy of what the force is, so whether it is organized or not, anyone starts his "own religion" when he comes up with a philosophy of spirituality. The question should be, how do we know what we have come up with is reality?

Yes, there is such a thing. Look within. You might ask, well, how do I do that? Not so easy to do it yourself. It's a good thing to find someone to help you. It does not mean you are deficient. A teacher can help you to"unlearn" your ideas about what knowledge is. By letting go of your ideas, you are more open to receive what is beyond ideas. A direct experience is uncovered. In the process of unlearning you will also become more aware of a natural need for knowledge. It is an intense yearning to be with the beloved, to put it poetically. Pray for help and who knows, a teacher just might show up when you are ready.

I am a Jehovahs witness. As many have already answered... you should read the bible. People claim that each religion changes the bible to suit them and some would claim that our 'new world translation does the same(The only real difference is the inclusion of Gods name Exodus 6;3 psalms 83;18). So I would say pick up any bible, maybe two different copies and compare. The Bible is split into two sections....The Hebrew scriptures(old testament) and the Christian Greek(new testament), it doesn't matter where you start as 'all scripture is inspired of God' 2 tim3;16 but you may find the new testament easier at first. Also Try praying. It may seem unusual but if you are genuine about finding spiritual knowledge you'll find this beneficial as the scriptures once again say 'Draw close to God and he will draw close to you' James 4;8. Hope you find what your looking for.

Yes, believe it or not.
Notice what scholars have said about the NWT
Old Testament:
In fact, the New World Translation is a scholarly work. In 1989, Professor Benjamin Kedar of Israel said:
"In my linguistic research in connection with the Hebrew Bible and translation, I often refer to the English edition as what is known as the New World Translation. In doing so, I find my feeling repeatedly confirmed that this kind of work reflects an honest endeavor to achieve an understanding of the text that is as accurate as possible. Giving evidence of a broad command of the original language, it renders the original words into a second language understandably without deviating unnecessarily from the specific structure of the Hebrew....Every statement of language allows for a certain latitude in interpreting or translating. So the linguistic solution in any given case may be open to debate. But I have never discovered in the New World Translation any biased intent to read something into the text that it does not contain."
New Testament:
While critical of some of its translation choices, BeDuhn called the New World Translation a “remarkably good” translation, “better by far” and “consistently better” than some of the others considered. Overall, concluded BeDuhn, the New World Translation “is one of the most accurate English translations of the New Testament currently available” and “the most accurate of the translations compared.”—Truth in Translation: Accuracy and Bias in English Translations of the New Testament.
“Here at last is a comprehensive comparison of nine major translations of the Bible:
King James Version,
New American Standard Bible,
New International Version,
New Revised Standard Version,
New American Bible,
Amplified Bible,
Today's English Version (Good News Bible),
Living Bible,
and the New World Translation.
The book provides a general introduction to the history and methods of Bible translation, and gives background on each of these versions. Then it compares them on key passages of the New Testament to determine their accuracy and identify their bias. Passages looked at include:
John 1:1; John 8:58; Philippians 2:5-11; Colossians 1:15-20; Titus 2:13; Hebrews 1:8; 2 Peter 1:1

Notice that Jehovah's Witnesses were unbias in translating the bible.
And they are unbias in their teachings.

Within Yourself.
But there is some good books to get started with. For example Conversations with God : An Uncommon Dialogue (Books 1, 2 & 3) by Neale Donald Walsch and The Power of Now: A Guide to Spiritual Enlightenment by Eckhart Tolle are books that helped me get started on my path to be even more connected within.
I really didn't used to feel comfortable with religions and their silly, petty rules. Now they are indifferent to me and don't bother me. Everyone finds their own way to love and light.

Within yourself my dear, it says nowhere you must belong to this religion to have life.
Get down on your knees, while alone, lean over your bed or couch, put your hands together and close your eyes and ask Him for what info you need, what direction you are looking for, and even if you feel like you didn't get the answer you were looking for, OPEN YOUR EYES< HE HAS GIVEN U WHAT U NEED to do what He wills u to. Gnostics aren't a pushy religion, but sometimes I think there is room for exploring ~ to find yourself first then find a "religion" (which I'm not sure is necessary) God bless.

In order to know of such a knowledge we must be taught and therefore are introduced to biased thought. There is no such thing.

Try the "Conversations with God" trilogy by Neale Donald Walsh. It has nothing to do with organized religion. Everything in these books make sense to me - As I read it I thought, "Yeah, I kind of already knew that" Or "that's what I'VE been saying!" I recommend this to everyone. Xx

You won't find it in any books, websites, etc... there will always be religion mixed in. You have to sift thru all of what you find and keep what you know to be honest and good and just pitch the rest. But understand why you are keeping what you are keeping... and why you are pitching out what you don't want.
