My dog is my bestest buddy EVER. He loves me no matter what, is a great listener, and he's tons of fun. He is a pit/lab mix that I got at an animal shelter about 2 years ago. You have to put in a lot of work. Nothing is free. It takes your time, your attention, and your love to build any healthy relationship, even with pets.

Yes, just look in your local animal shelter, on petfinder.com or search the web for a breed rescue group.
