Yes it's true we can help, at least we are suppose to help. Here's what you do. Go to the White pages under Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saint, find one that is near to your home, then on Sunday go to the church anytime between 9am-4pm and ask someone for the Bishop, talk to the Bishop in private and explain to him your situation and if he is doing his job he'll give you what assistance he can. Good luck and God Bless.

If you go to the local Mormon church and ask to speak with the Bishop of the church, they should be able to offer you assistance. Members of the church pay something called "fast offerings" to help those in need in the local areas. They also have employment centers that can help you with a job. Just look up the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints in your phone book and either attend on Sunday or give a call. But if you can't reach anyone, sunday is the best time to get the bishop.

Yes, it is true. The LDS church has a very strongly developed welfare program and there are many resources available to help you.
You can contact the church online via their website at www.lds.org or look them up in your yellow pages for the numbers of the local leaders.

Yes, they do. I'm atheist, and when I was a runaway living in the streets, the Mormons came to my aid more than once. And they did it without being judgmental.
There are also many social services available. Your local Community Action Agency would be a good place to start. They can refer you to various other organizations.

I"m sure a lot of churches, not just mormons, help people in need. Contact your state social services department. They have emergency funding for people in your situation.
Good luck and I wish you the best.

Why are you not on welfare? Your son should be on disabilty. They have homes for people that have a hard time making it where your rent is paid for. I hope you find help, but I am honest when I say not many people is going to help someone from the net. There is so much goverment help out there that you should have it hard. Some will assit in paying your light bill, some will help lower your phone bill. Check into those things and get on medicade or if your in Tn. get on TennCare.

I doubt they would help. I have studied Mormons and their religion for quite a while and from that basis I do not think that they would help unless you are "baptized into their faith". If you want help and not be forced into a religion, find a Evangelistic Christian Church and there should be plenty of people in a church like that that would love to help you with nothing expect in return! Where I live in my church, there are plenty of people who love to serve others in need without any expected returned favor, I just hope you can find some!

There are all kinds of organizations and agencies that help. Try your local churches, USDA, non-profits. Just search the internet for non-profits in your area.
