That's too good for them...
However, most christians denounce these things (calling them people is an insult to people)
Too bad I'm an atheist and don't believe in a hell, because that's where they would go...

They want people to be outraged at them. The bible says that believers will be blessed if they are reviled in the name of Jesus. So, if people get mad at them, they consider it to be a great blessing.
The Westboro people were going to picket the funerals of the Amish girls who were murdered. How sick is that? Their reason was that it was the Governor's fault that the girls were murdered, because he supposedly said something against the Westboro Church. But late yesterday afternoon, they announced they were going to cancel their pickets at the funerals, in favour of going on a talk show instead.
Some of the family members were lucky to escape from the horrors of the cult, and their stories are contained in the online journal, below.
The Westboro creeps have been arrested a few times during their visits to Canada, and they are now banned from entering Canada. They threatened to publicy urinate and defecate on the Canadian flag. That's really a terrific Christian witness, isn't it? Their hate site for Canada is also attached.

Did they continue their crazy protest???
Why didnt anyone call the Pennsylvania National Guard... these nuttos deserve to be run-over by Abrams tanks. Either that or a few 120mm shells here and there should make them see the light...
These guys have taken freedom of speech to a new low that I could never imagine be ever done.

these ppl are not 'christians' and do not follow god or christ, they are evil. check out their website it will make your blood boil. in athens, georgia there was a decorated soldier who died in iraq and they protested his funeral, holding signs that said it was good he died etc. the thing is there is also a motorcycle club made up of veterans of the wars who travels around and protests against them ! everyone closed ranks around these ppl and shielded the family from them and basically closed them down. the police dept had them cordoned off so far away that you couldn't even hear them. this nut case group protests all kinds of ppl they hate, its really sickening but unfortunately free speech protects them, fortunately there are ppl like this motorcycle club and others which exercise their free speech too. personally i feel it doesn't matter how you feel about the war, aids, etc. its just cruel to protest a funeral and say you're glad someone lost their loved one....this 'church' will someday go away, there's only about 20 members and they are all inbred.

Yeah in Britain they'd be arrested straight away for inciting religious hatred and rascist/homophobic behaviour. We don't have the same laws regarding free speech and in my opinion in cases such as this it is a good thing too. I'm surprised no vigilantes have got them yet, they've only been attacked once (they got firebombed ages ago, must've been a great day).

No Christian denomination wants anything to do with them. They are basically one extended inbred family who will do anything for publicity.
They preach hate, not love.
Since Christ’s central teaching was love I cannot understand how they can be considered Christian.
I think this level of homophobia can only mean that Phelpes has issues accepting a few basic things about himself.

you want to "gauge" their eyeballs..what would you use to measure their eyeballs..?
Seriously I am a Christian, and when people act that way, say the things they do, it is totally embarrassing to REAL Christians...Please keep in mind that just because they SAY they are speaking for God, does not make it so..They are no more Christians than the KKK

Those people are not doing the work of God, but claiming to know God.
Titus 1:16 They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;
Let it go and let God take care of this situation.

I think they are a disgrace to humanity in general. However, one radio dj got them to agree to not protest the Amish funerals in exchange for an hour's air time.

It is people like that that freak me out! But they make themselves look very unintelligent! They do have the right to freedom of speech, as ridiculous as it may be! they still are aloud to say what they want.
