Travis is located near Fairfield Ca. It is about halfway in between Sacramento and San Francisco.

The city of Fairfield has the predictable suburban stuff nice mall, movie theaters, and the mix of family style restaurants.

Six Flags Marine world is about 30 minutes away and is a full amusement park.

Lake Tahoe is about a 3 hour drive for winter and summer fun. The Wine Country is about an hour away for a more adult type outing.

San Francisco is a great day trip and depending on traffic should only take about an hour to get to.

Hope this helps.

It's developed a lot over the years. I've lived in Fairfield my whole life which is basically the town it's in. Plenty of shopping and restaurants. Nut Tree just re-opened in Vacaville and Scandia is in Cordelia. Six Flags Marine World is in Vallejo about 15-20 minutes away. It's about 40-45 minutes from Sacramento and San Francisco.
