It could be that he/she is in a bit of pain or running a fever from teething (both could trigger nausea/vomiting) Have you offered some ibuprofin. Ibuprofin is better than paracetamol because its also an anti-inflamitory, so it helps bring down swelling in the gums. Its also possible that your son/daughter has another cause for the vomiting, mabye a tummy bug. Offer lots of drinks of water as the vomiting can easily leave small children dehydrated and keep an eye on him/her, If theres no improvement its time to see the doctor :-)

Could be from crying over the pain, could be the fussing is giving her colic. Kids often run fevers when teething, some children react to fevers by throwing up. Could be the medication you're giving her to relieve the pain.

It could be unrealated to her teething, she might just have a virus or some flu bug. If she has a high fever or spots on her chest/back or belly, a green runny nose, lack of apitite, the runs or grogginess, take her and and make sure its not something more than teething.

usually though it will pass on its own.

I did not have a problem with throwing up when my daughter was teething. You should consult your pediatrician- or mother. I always ask my mother things like this because normally she is correct more often than the damn doctors are!!! Maybe she is not taking well to whatever "soothing" you may be using. Maybe she is sick in addtion to teething. I have heard that some children run fevers and have other "flu-like" symtoms when they are cutting teeth though so maybe it is just a side effect of growing up. Still, I would consult either someone who has had many years experience in this or the pediatrician.

Every child is different and responds differently to cutting teeth. Push the fluids and continuously check his or her temperature. You need to make sure that it it the teething causing the vomiting and not some other illness. However, vomiting is not a normal sign of teething so you need to keep a close eye the child. Try putting him or her on the BRAT diet until the vomiting clears up.
