You are probably used to the sound it makes. Try either increasing the volume of it, setting two alarms, or getting a new alarm clock. You also are probably not allowing yourself enough sleep. The average time a teen needs sleep is 8-9 hours and for adults it is 6-8 hours. Hope this helps!

There are studies that show many people do, as well as fire detector alarms.
I believe that it has to do with the TONE the alarm clock rings at. Some people cannot wake out of sound sleep to certain pitches.
Buy a cheap alarm clock at a dollar store that rings differently than the one you do now. Perhaps a higher or lower pitch is what you need. There are many different tones out there...one will be right for you.

I do this regularly with an electric radio alarm clock and a wind up clock, so I now have two wind up clocks and two electric radio clocks, all set at slightly later times over a 30 minute time period. I set the wind up clocks out of my reach so that I cant hit the "snooze" or turn them off from the bedside.
Even I cant stand the noise after 10 minutes or so, so I have to get up and turn them off.

If you're over tired, or you took some kind of sleeping pill... that can make you sleep through your alarm. I have taken a sleeping pill before and slept through 3 alarm clocks. It sucks.
Also, you can condition your mind to ignore it. I've also done that and it wakes everyone in the house but me.
Good luck.

I guess you're just used to the sound of the alarm. Buy a new alarm clock with a louder more annoying alarm.

My daughter can do it, but I wake up at the sound of a pindrop. I had a sick spell once, though, and slept though the alarm until it stopped. I don't drink, don't take sleeping pills, but I do have bouts of blood sugar disorders. I theorized that I was in a diabetic coma, but I never found out for sure. By the time I went to the doc, the sugar count was okay.
Check your health. Good luck!

Put it at the bottom of the laundry basket. Even better, turn off the alarm!
