Its all to do with how dogs mate and concieve the female swells and so does the dogs penis and they get stuck this is so the sperm stays in and thus helps with conception when the swelling goes down on the dog he can move away from the female who still stays swelled for a few days.

How can you know they have finished intercourse, may be they just want to take a break.
Have you ever have sex with the penis insert then just hug each other to enjoy the closely feeling.
I enjoy to keep the penis inside the body after the ejection until it getting smaller and smaller, then take it out or restart the game if it re-grown.

I think it's because the dogs penis swells and gets stuck inside the *****. That's why old men always throw cold water over the rampant pair to shock it back to size!

The bítch's vagina sometimes goes into spasm, gripping the dog's penis and preventing him from retreating. Unique to canines and foxes.

the bitches uvula (not sure on spelling) clenches once the male has ejaculated so she can hold him in place till all the sperm has emptied and once she is ready she will relax and the dogs penis will drop out and will be swollen because the ***** has trapped him (hence the swelling)
