Sometimes you will have bleeding and cramping. A small amount of blood in the first few months can sometimes be normal, but if you are having a heavy flow with cramping you should call your doctor.

when i miscarried at five weeks pregnant i hurt so bad in my stomach, back, was very tired and i bled for a week but it wasn't heavy, no clots. It was not at all alot of blood.

The color of the blood was red to light red to brown..
If you think you are having a miscarriage go to the doctor cause if the fetus isn't completely expelled from your body (you may need a D&C, I didn't though) it could set up an infection.

So good luck to you

Only a doctor can tell you for sure by checking your hormone levels and see if they are going down,(they should go up quickly) but symptoms include severe cramping and heavy bleeding. Some cramping and spotting is normal but never hesitate to call your doctor, its better to know than sit and worry about it.
