Be very careful of second-hand alloys, unless you know the vehicle they came off. Breakers often sell alloys off crashed cars which is very dangerous due to the brittle nature of alloy wheel material. Hairline cracks can seldom be seen with the naked eye. And besides, you can most likely get a replica or even something nicer new for less money. Shop around on-line. Notably on eBay there are loads of excellent deals on new wheel and tyre sets. Speaking of tyres - buy the best you can afford. They can literally make the difference between life and death. Autoexpress, Autocar and Which magazines all do comparison tests from time to time and the difference in stopping distance means a mangled wreck or not even a scratch! Good Luck and I hope you find something you like!
