Dogs don't clean themselves as much as cats do but she will probably start cleaning herself more the older she gets right now she's just a puppy and just wants to play....put her in the tub with a couple inches of water and bathe her with an old cloth be sure to use a gentle formula specifically for puppies

Hello Kyle
Just give her a shower. If the puppy don't like the shower i would just rub her down with a old cloth of course a clean 1 and put some dog shampoo on it. Then keep rinsing the cloth until shes clean

Puppies don't really clean themselves that much. I would be careful with bathing it. If it's under 8 weeks, consult a vet about what shampoo to use and if it's over 8 weeks, any reputable puppy shampoo should be okay. However, only bathe it if it's pretty dirty or stinky! You could also just use lukewarm water on a towel and towel off any dirt. This would be the safest bet! Good luck withe your pupppy, they are so fun!

I had a Jack Russell and he never cleaned him self, dogs dont do that, only cats do. Put him in the shower and wash him with baby shampoo and warm water.

Dogs don't clean themselves all over. They only clean the areas that matter. Dogs need to have baths or showers just like us. My dog is along haired Tibetan terrier and she has a shower every week or two. I also put conditioner on her fur and give it a good rinse off because it does help grooming.

Hiya Kyle V,
Russells are like baby's, all puppies are like baby's, have you ever seen a baby clean its self no.. lol lol, best thing to to hun, is give the little tyke a shower, but dont shower or bath your pup to often, you will spoil the natural oils in your pups coat this will lead to skin problems, i have 2 russells @ 7 months old and they love to dig up my garden, get full of mud, i always have towels at hand for them, just give him/her a good rub down, bet he/she will love you for it, and get your self some grooming brushes, all dogs loved to be groomed...... :-)
