...rather than Love?

Why must people believe we must be inspired to fear God's wrath to act properly, rather than believe we must be inspired by the Love Jesus taught to act properly?

Why the stick, and not the carrot?

What does this say of humanity and its potential to Love?

What does this say about a belief we can only control ourselves if we Fear, rather than Love?

It's just human nature. Why worry about it?

I believe instead of fear, it really means respect. But look at what Hell is like, I wouldn't want to go there. But God loves us and gives us the way to Heaven.

the Binle says you shoud fear Him, so we know that He is overpowering but still love Him, follow His instructions/commands because you want too not because your afraid, He wants to be your closest friend for always,(by the way im a Christian) He cares about you and wants the best for you, so to answer your question He wants us to fear and love Him.

he is a God of love and he wants your love and respect. to serve God out of fear would be fruitless, there is little to be accomplished when you are scared. love and respect!
