This is what happens when ideologues are in power. They have a certain ideology they believe in, and they do what that ideology tells them to do, whether it's reasonable or not.

The spread of socialism across Latin America is historically the response of the vast majority of people in each nation who constitute the poorest of the poor. This response is a rising up against the aristocratic minority who persist in clinging to the worst excesses of colonialism. However, more immediately, the spread of socialism throughout Latin America represents the defiance of the peoples of these nations against the ever-present intervention of the US in supporting corporate sponsored aristocracies, dictatorships, and death squads. (Just say NO to Chiquita Bananas! Organic bananas do NOT pay for death squads!). On the other hand, do not be so optimistic for the situation in the US. The majority of the working poor who would benefit from a more socially-oriented system are precisely those who are most easily manipulated by the cynical drones who grow fat and wealthy off of the poor's labours.

What? This is the silliest and least reality-based assessment of the world I've seen yet.
If only conservatives make enemies, how come the 1st WTC bombings, the Khobar tower bombings, the 2 US embassy bombings in Africa, 'Black Hawk Down', the Millenium bomber and the first group of the 9/11 bombers came to the US during the Clinton administration?
Why did Clinton need to bomb Serbia, Sudan, and Iraq, attack in Somalia and depose Aristides in Haiti? Why did Clinton's twit general Clarke almost start a war with Russia? Did those actions win us a bunch of friends?
It is this overblown, childish and completely false ranting by you people that makes us find you contemptible and ignorant.
I don't mind debating over policies and actions and their effects on the world, but you can't even start with basic knowledge of events or truth.

Don't be so naive! These enemy were in place long before GWB came to power. They weren't nearly as outspoken as they are today simply because nobody wants to be the lone wolf out there by himself , making all the noise.
Let's dissect these so called enemies we are making. Putin: Former head of the KGB during the Soviet Union's existence. Now there's a poster boy for 'peace on earth'. Kim Jong IL: Took over his father's legacy in N.Korea. He's just as nutty as his old man who we fought in the Korean War. Chavez: Or better known as Fidel II. Here's a guy who idol worships Castro, do you really think he wants what is best for us. Ahmadinejad: was part of the original islamic revolution that took over the American embassy in 1979. That was damn near 28 years ago, and these damn fools in Iran gave this midget even more power by making him their president. This silly little man denied that he was part of the original bad guys, yet we have pictures showing his ugly @ss marching our blind folded officials around, like lemmings. El Assad of Syria: Another golden spermie taking over daddy's legacy of hate America. China: well, what can you say about China. They want to be king of the mountain, just like Russia. Except, we're in their way. They don't like our politics, hell sometimes, I don't like our politics, but I'm not going to war over it, well, maybe just against the IRS.

Damn that conservative FDR for making the Germans and Japanese our enemies. You're right, we should just roll over and take everything we have coming to us. What ever we do, don't create enemies. We'll just be their slaves instead. Quite cowardly, huh?

WE care but its lack of support for anything we do no matter how good it is.
Even if we were able to make everything all perfect in the USA you guys will never be happy and will find something else to ***** about.
Support our service members who signed up for our ALL voluntary military service. Nobodys forcing them to do anything. They knew that war was a possibility and that the military is not just for college benefits, for travel etc.
I salute all in the military who are serving and those who are joining to serve!

Being somewhere between Dostoyevski's " Man of Action " and the model of the reptillian brain - they have so little comprehension about their actions or the consequences. We are dealing with political sociopaths.
