My mother was taken into emergency after developing an acute reaction to a medicine. She developed inflammation of almost all her tissues in her body in a shor time. Doctors injected her in the arm with an anti-inflammatory (im assuming) and she was released a few hours later.. but she still feels pain in the area where she was injected. I don't know what she was injected with. She is skinny.. and about 55 years old. Any idea if this pain usually lasts this long? Anything she can do to reduce the pain?

Ice packs will probably help the pain but I would take her back to her doctor about it personally. 3 weeks is a long time to still be in pain from just an injection. I hope she feels better soon.
