No true Christian will admit they are perfect or worthy to inherit the kingdom of heaven.
I am a Christian saved by the Grace of God. That don't make me better than the worst sinner on earth. Even BinLaden has a chance for eternal life in the kingdom of heaven if he would only accept Christ as his personal Savior.

Since the gift of Jesus Christ and his grace is freely available to all the faithful, no such state of moral superiority can really exist.
Furthermore, the merit of the individual Christian has nothing to do with salvation, as only Jesus Christ merits God's favor (grace) and it is he who quite charitably makes that favor available to us miserable sinners.
Want some grace? There's plenty to go around.
Simply declare your faith in Christ, and get baptized into his church.
Then you'll be able to know from where you speak.

When we become a Christian - we are supposed to be Christ-like. Jesus Christ was humble and a servant - so should we be. Christians should be humble. But we are still human and fail miserably on a daily basis, as we are not perfect - just forgiven - by the grace of a Living God.

Hello!! :o) Any 'Christian' who feels 'morally superior' has failed to grasp the true meaning of BEING a Christian. So don't use THOSE individuals as if they represent Christianity. God is BIG on humility. Something many Christians fail to appreciate. [So I understand your question] Have a great day!! Craig!! :o)

when i was a christian I had no idea what i was doing, I was bullying my close friends into becoming a christian. I was yelling and ranting like a nut, now i still yell and rant but only because i want to see christianity die out.
True christian is just a cop out excuse, people use that word all the time to write off the other christians as fakes, but if you believe yourself to be christian thats all that matters right?

I guess that's what they mean by "uplifting". Looks more like an ego stroke to me. One in which they use against others, instead of actually using it to better themselves and/or their own community. It's a power play... and one I find rather pathetic.

I think you have expressed exactly what I dislike so about evangelical Christians--their soapbox, their holier than thou attitude, etc.,.
