Solution: Low cost aka free
1. Go to www.openoffice.org
2. Download the Openoffice site (its free) and install it.
3. Click on openoffice writer. Compose your document. It works almost like MS Office and even produces doc files.
4. Once your document is ready, click on the icon for 'Export directly as pdf'
5. View the PDF document in your free Acrobat reader, from Adobe.
6. Email the pdf resume.

If you already have MS Office than create the document in word, open it in OpenOffice and export to PDF.

The professional way to do it is to use Adobe Writer (http://www.adobe.com/) where you can do all sorts of things like protect your PDF from editing but sets you back a few hundred $$$.

If you are like most of us, we just do it in Word and use free PDF conversion software like PDF995 (http://www.pdf995.com/) to convert documents into PDF afterwards.

Happy resume writing
