because you dont eat any, buddy...
fatty acids, or the essential fatty acids at least, cannot be produced from other components by the body itself, you have to ingest them. which you obviously dont do when fasting. right?

unlike what our friend said , fatty acids are produced in our bodies when we fast from our fat stores ,thats the whole idea of diets!
(meaning that the purpose of diet is to make the body mobilize and burn more fatty acids to decrease body weight)
all the body has alternate ways for burning different fuels , EXCEPT the brain ! the brain is an obligatory glucose dependent organ , thats why hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) is a medical emergency !it could lead to death very quickly!
when you fast , not only are fatty acids produced , but glucose is also produced in the liver by a process called (gluconeogenesis) where fats and proteins are scavenged for molecules to build the glucose sugar , because its vital for the brain. all other organs can utilize , although not very efficiently , fatty acids and proteins for fuel .
did you know that the heart will be the last organ to complain when you starve? its because the best fuel for the heart muscle is the fatty acids , and thats why you get tired after running or not eating or not slleeping, but the heart muscle never gets tired !
never for as long as you live!
its proof of the genius of the creator.
