Jesus said something like, "If you have faith, you can cast the mountain into the sea." One cannot cast a mountain into the sea. Therefore, Jesus must have been saying that one cannot have faith. Correct?

No Christ said that with faith ANYTHING is possible. Mountain is NATION in the word of God. That is what Christ meant when He said that. "A thousand will fall by your right hand, and ten-thousand by your right side"

He was making the point that even just a little faith can accomplish a lot and used a hypothetical situation that was "big" to prove the point.

That said, since God created the mountain in the first place, I have faith that He can cast it into the sea (through me & my faith even) if He so chose.

Jesus NEVER did say, we can NOT have faith. He did say, that if we had the faith the size of a Mustard seed we can say unto this mountain , be ye removed, & it will be done, But we have to see what this mountain is first, No it is not The Rocky Mountains, But that Mountain is That TEST & TRIAL you are going through

Jesus said "faith of a mustard seed". In other words a little faith goes a long way.

Jesus spoke of faith as big as a mustard seed.

Most of us have faith that is much smaller than that, so we don't move many mountains, but we manage to get by, thanks to God.
