Not the cost of the flooring, just the cost to have it fitted.

Depends on the shape of the room and hence the complexity to fit.

28 square meteres should take 1 day for a professional to install so you will be looking at approx £150 for a days labour, depending on the charges for your local fitters.

Ref comments below, laminate can look good but has to be properly installed. Nothing worse than poorly fitted flooring that has an inch gap to the skirting and laid over carpet instead of proper underlay.

i would charge you about £200 to install your floor .who ever you get to do it ask them how they get round the architrave at doors , the best way is to cut the bottom of the door frame and architrave so the floor slides underneath it and looks nice and professional and neat .just try cutting a bit of laminate to follow the shape of your architrave and get it looking good !!!! if you have not bought your floor i would recommend UNICILC Flooring it has a massive range of styles and price ranges , it is very hard wearing (it is used on lots floors on stands at the ideal home show) all the best
p.s you can also ask any fitters for references

Are you going for the 'council house' look?

Go for real wood flooring or you'll have something that makes stone cladding look fashionable.
Laminate is out, sales have dropped off by a huge amount and the product is now seen as cheap and nasty.

Think long term, think about adding value to your house, go for the real thing.

you purely multiply - you have have been given 8 sq. metres. yet counting on how the form is and how lots slicing you will desire to do there is often loss. some products you purchase 10% extra, some extra beneficial than that. you do not choose to waste money with a superb form of leftover, yet you do not choose to bypass back to the save considering you got here up a tiny bit brief. you may get solid suggestion on the flooring save.

Council house answer i would agree with unless you get good quality, you have to pay for it though!

Labour i would say about 200-250 pounds, it would take a day maybe a bit more.
