if you found your favorite breed of puppies in your backyard, without a collar, what would you do with it? if i found a boxer puppy, i would put up a sign that says FOUND BOXER and if no one responded i would keep it with my 11 year old boxer

First I would go door to door and see if it belonged to anyone in the neighborhood, if nobody claimed it I would then put up signs and run an ad in the local newspaper. I would also go to the local veteranarian and contact the animal shelter to report a found puppy or puppies. After 30 days if nobody answered all of this then I would keep it or them or find good homes.

NEVER give the description in your ads, as anyone can claim it if you do, make sure they can give an accurate description when and if they call on it otherwise they do not get puppy.

I would put up signs in the local vets office. I wouldnt post it just anywhere or anyone could claim the dog. But you are right to keep it if no one does claims it. Puppies are great and boxers are too fun! Matter of fact I have one dog that I got just that way. She was a pup but is now 10 yrs old and a more faithful dog I have never had.

Niether one of my dogs wold allow anything to come into my yard.If it did happen and a puppy came into my yard,I would check the puppy over for any injuries ,feed the puppy ,take the puppy to the vet and alert them to the puppy being a stray that I found , and hopefully the puppy has a microchip .If the puppy had no microchip I would put out flyers and also a add in the puppy for lost puppy. If no one responded I would keep the puppy. Before keeping the puppy I would do everything to find that puppies owner.Even knocking door to door.

I would put an ad in the paper and on local radio, small town but we have 2 stations. If no responses, I'd probably try to convince my mother to take it because she is just getting over the death of her dog and my cat hates dogs and she's almost 14 and suffered through my having a puppy once already so I'm sure she'd be miserable.

I would post it at the vets office and the pound. If someone lost a dog and cared that would be the first two places that they would look. I dont like the idea of randomly putting up posters. Anyone can say it theirs. I would then keep it if noone claimed it.

Take it to the vet and see if it's chipped. Post picture of it in office while I'm there.
Take out a newspaper add.
I don't have this worry as hubby's beagles won't allow anything close to the yard, let alone actually let anything in it. They even eat the bugs trying to hide in the grass. lol

Call the local pound or animal service organization. Take care of the pup 'til somebody came to pick it up.

I would want to keep it but I would not be able to as my dog is not open to another dog w/us. I would do all I could to find its parents and make arraignments for housing until the owners came forward.

Hide it so my kids don't see it or else I will have another mouth to feed.
