If it is faith that you want back, that's not hard. You are just looking in the wrong place. Watch yourself drive 65 mph. down the freeway in heavy traffic, and you will see that you have an enormous amount of faith. Or step off a landing down a stairway and you can see how much faith you have. When you eat, you use sharp implements, and even though most people are not paying any attention as to how they do it, I haven't ever heard of someone putting out their eye while eating. We trust the sun to rise and fall each day, and when you turn on the heat you have faith that you will get warm when you are cold. You are not lacking faith. You only need examine where you are putting it.

Faith can be very important in your life, however you have to ask yourself if you are willing to make the sacrifices required of your religion ( IE giving money, time, effort to the poor ) and more importantly do you want your faith back because you want to give back to it or because you want your faith to give to you.
If it is the latter, I am afraid you will not have much luck. Christianity is about charity, giving, forgiveness and even taking the odd smack without retaliating.
If you decide you want to make a good go at it, the first step would be to go to a library and read about faith. If and when you decide this is for you, then go to your local parish and speak to a priest or a deacon. They will help you out and maybe give you more insight on certain issues/questions you might have.
Remember, in today's world, it is hard to be faithful with all the negative people and religion bashing. But if you succeed the rewards are great as is the feeling.
Good luck and God bless.

The voice in your head is your conscience, Ask yourself how many prayers have been answered and if the last time your prayer was answered was merely a coincidence.
You haven't really lost your faith as it was never yours in the first place, as with everyone it is implanted by somebody when you are young, if we really had faith we would be born with it like the ability to breath, talk and walk the same as the ability to think for ourselves which is what alot of people don't do

God knows exactly what is within your Heart and mind, and your own insecurities is the tiny voice you are hearing. Being a Christian, you know that once you have your Salvation, you can't lose it, our Father is a merciful God, and a loving God, and a teacher of Discipline, do not feel guilty for making a Promise you did not keep at the time, for you are his child, and He loves you.
Keep Praying, He is listening, God wants to forgive, and when He sees our repentance and change of Heart, He wants us to come to him, so He can Heal and Forgive. God Bless.

First I want to congratulate you for the step you've taken towards evoking your faith again. And believe me your faith is still alive somewhere in you that is why you're so concerned about it.Faithless people don't even talk about the word "faith".So it will take time for you to put that tiny voice to mute in your head.Try to ask for forgiveness rather than just asking for other stuff.Your guilt is eating you up.As you know God Almighty is so merciful so ask Him to forgive you and ofcourse He will.He might teach you some good lessons so you never forget the way to church but then things would turn out to be better if you change yourself and keep your promise forever.Don't worry you'll soon start feeling better just ask for forgiveness.

Romans 10:17 tells us, "Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ." (NIV)
God bless you. I wrestle with my faith frequently. You just have to step on the devil's head in the name of Jesus. You know God's word is true. He will forgive you for not keeping your promise. He knew when you made it that you weren't gonna. Sometimes I have to force myself to get back to God like I know I should be. He knows where you are right now. Just open your heart to Him, ask Him for strength and guidance, and get in the word. I hope you don't mind I will add you to my prayer list. I usually find my faith restored by helping others.

Prayer changes things. It will if you sincerly believe and trust that God will answer.
You need to start a study of the word and most i mportantly pray and attend church.
I, in a way have had this same rollercoaster ride in my life.
However when I got serious and put my trust in the Lord, things changed.
I cannot of my ownself do nothing.
I had some problems that I knew I could not handle or deal with.
I had to learn to pray and let God know that it was going to be his way not mine and believe that he would show me the way to deal with the situations I had in my life.
That little monkey (so to speak) will always be on your back telling you things like God does not care and he will not answer.
We all have to learn not to listen to these things and trust that God will help us. However, his answers will be what he wants for us and when he is going to give us what we need if it is for our good. Hope this helps. Believe with all your heart and soul and Trust him.He does care.

God is always there- Do not falter- I have been where youare now- he is patient and waits for you- and meets you at your space in tinme... I found when I had lost my faith I regained it as I reached out into the world...
We are told to be in the world and not of it... I was in MY world and not involved in the lives of others at all- Now that I am concerned about others, volunteering, and doing my part... WIll go into more detail if you would like me to... I found my faith again and it is stronger- Helping others GOD blesses us- We can not outgive him... and when you try to it is astounding the enlightenment and inner peace you find. I shall pray for you and I look forward to your growth in this personal journey! Diana

I think you should start going to church for a while and don't pray for things for your self. show God you just want to be close to Him. Restore your relationship with God and don't be like a little kid just asking for toys. Just show up to God's house for a while... and be consistent. don't be a hypocrite as you're only making yourself look bad and letting yourself down. Also, find a good church, one you enjoy going to. After a while, that voice may say: ok, now ask for something, He's listening.

How approximately: four. We are stored via religion by myself, however forget of works does impair our dating with God. Salvation is by way of religion that Jesus Christ - God within the flesh - died in our stead. While salvation is by way of religion by myself, our works DO topic. Our dating with God is a 2-means avenue. We won't simply get stored then take a seat again and do not anything. We will have to draw towards God. We will have to to wish to Him, compliment Him, believe Him, and rely on Him. We will have to witness to non-believers and percentage the Gospel, and reside healthful lives, surroundings an illustration for others. We will have to attempt to be Christ-like. These matters are not essential for salvation, however our dating with God will undergo if we do not do them. AND we WILL be judged via our works. Some folks who've served God exceptionally good will reign along Jesus. Others can have tasks a few rungs down the ladder in God's Government.
