Some people are required to buy two tickets if they are visable not going to fit and the plane is near to being full.

Technically the airlines can make them pay for two seats but it's rarely enforced. With some folks it is obvious they will not fit in a single seat but with others you don't know till they actually sit down, and having to negotiate an additional ticket purchase while the plane is boarding would be a nightmare. Yes it sucks to be stuck next to someone who is overflowing into your seat but in all honesty, I've had some pretty uncomfortable flights sitting next to normal-weight people who just couldn't figure out how to keep their body parts in their own seat. I'd rather shut up and deal with the squish-flight than have the plane be delayed while the crew negotiated an extra ticket purchase.

Well I suppose if they are charging on a "Weight" basis then an overweight person would pay more. The catagories are different how ever. 1 Person over X-amount weighted luggage. How ever I do feel that they should make their seats more accomodable for a larger person. That would eliminate the complaints of having someone's "Personal baggage" hang over their arm rest. An average person could actually posses a "Bubble" of space on a plane. An obese person would have room to breath and everyone would be happy. Other then that I'm open ears for everyones opinion on this.. I've never flown ... lol

There should be a weight limit in order to even get on a plane...sort of like luggage! I hate someone else's luggage taking up half of my seat. That's why I fly business or first class. And speaking of 'comfortable', how in the world could it possibly be comfortable to have body parts extend from both sides of one's body into the seat next to them?! People in opposing seats should be provided free airfare for having to deal with it!

What would be a better idea is to have skinny people double up in one seat! Yeah, that's what they should do...

Yes, if a fat person cannot sit comfortably in his/her seat, they are required to buy another seat - or they cannot fly.
