They can't see Jesus because they dn't believe He is Messaih but if they look deeply in scriptures they will know Jesus the Pass-Over Lamb.
The New Testament passage explains to us the real meaning of the "Passover" recorded in Exodus 12 of the Old Testament.
1 Corinthians 5:7,8.
7. Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our pass-over is sacrificed for us.
8. Therefore let us keep feast, not with old leaven, neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness; but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.
This passage enables us to understand three things.
1. That the lamb slain at pass-over is a type of Christ.
2. That the leaven is malice and wickedness.
3. That since Christ was slain, we to keep the pass-over.
Exodus 11: 4,5.
4. And Moses said, thus saith Jehovah, about midnight will I go out into the midst of Egypt:
5. And all the firstborn in the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maid servant that is behind the mill; and all the first born of cattle.
The sentence of judgment is that all the firstborn must die. What is meant by the firstborn?
1 Corinthians 15:46.
How-be-it that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
All who belong to Adam, who are born of Adam, are the firstborn. And God's sentence is that they must die> No one may escape this death. It is an appointment which cannot be circumvented. all who are in Adam, all the firstborn must die.
Exodus 11:7
7. But against any of the children of Israel shall not a dog move his tongue, against man or beast; That ye may know how that Jehovah doth make a distinction between the Egyptians and Israel.
Here God had His specially chosen people, the Israelites. He had chosen a people who would not go through death to be his people. In like manner, God has chosen out of the world a people today who will not pass through death. Just as He separated the children of Israel from the Egyptians, so God chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world.
Ephesians 1:4
4. According as He hath chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him, in love.
This is indeed glad tidings. Out of so many who are destined to die, God has chosen a people who are not to pass through death.
Exodus 12:1-4
1. And Jehovah spake unto Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying,
2. This month shall be unto you the beginning of months: it shall be the first month of the year to you.
3. Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, in the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to their father's houses, a lamb for a household:
4. And if the household be to little for a lamb, then shall he and the neighbor next unto his house take one according to the number of the souls; according to every man's eating ye shall make your count for the lamb.
In what way does God save His people from death? Formerly, it was by means of a lamb. Now God has given us Jesus Christ. Throughout the Bible Christ is recognized as the lamb. Formerly, the children of Israel were saved through a lamb; now we are saved through Christ.
Why did God make that month of Abid the first month of the year? There is a deep meaning involved. No month other than this one is to be designated the first of the year.
In the tenth day of this month, they shall take to them every man a lamb according to their father's houses, a lamb for a household. This commenced the pass-over in the time of the Exodus. Now, interestingly enough this was the very day centuries later that the Lord Jesus is seen entering Jerusalem. He had come to Bethany six days before the pass-over feast, which was the ninth day of the month. On the next day the tenth H e entered Jerusalem. Therefore Judas tried to betray the Lord by seeking opportunity to deliver him to men seeking to entrap him.
Exodus 12:5.
5. Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male a year old: ye shall take it from the sheep, or from the goats.
Exodus 13:2.
2. Sanctify unto me all the firstborn, whatsoever openeth the womb among the children of Israel, both of men and of beasts: It is mine.
The principle qualification of the pass-over lamb was that it be without blemish, which typifies sinless-ness. No one in the world can be a savior because all have sinned. But praise the Lord. Jesus is truly without blemish. In all history the Lord Jesus is the only one who dares to say He is without sin. Hebrews 7:26 says He is separated from sinners.
The second principle qualification of the pass-over lamb was for it to be a firstborn from among the flock. Those whom God set out to slay in Egypt are the firstborn, so he uses a savior, who is firstborn to save the firstborn of Israel. Now we know the Lord Jesus is the first born of Mary (Luke 2:7) as well as our savior without blemish and without spot. (1 Peter 1:19)
Exodus 12:6.
6. And ye shall keep it until the fourteenth day of the same month; and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.
What is told here is a most vital point. The lamb shall die. We need a savior to die for us. Jesus as the lamb of God had to die in order to deliver us from death. For the wages of sin is death.
The pass-over lamb was kept until the even of the fourteenth day of the month before it was killed. Even so was our Lord kept to the fourteenth day of the first month to die. The time is exact to the very hour.
The famous Jewish historian, Josephus, wrote that the term at even, pointed to the sixth to the ninth hour of Roman time. To us it is from noon till three o'clock in the afternoon. The Lord Jesus was crucified within that very time frame. The sky darkened until He breathed His last breath.
The whole assembly of the congregation of Israel are told to kill the pass-over lamb. Included in the congregation are three types:
1. The Priest represents the church.
2. The twelve tribes represent the nations of the world.
3. The congregation represents all mankind.
During the time immediately after Noah and the flood the entire world's humanity was divided into three groups; Shem, Ham, and Japheth. On the day when Christ was crucified, all three groups were represented there, the Jews, the descendants of Shem. The Romans, the offspring of Japheth, and Simeon of Cyrene a descendant of Ham. So all mankind was present, and the testimony of Christ dying on the cross was before the whole world.
Exodus 12:46
46. Neither shall ye break a bone thereof.
This was literally fulfilled in the Lord Jesus as our pass-over lamb.
John 19:36.
36. For these things came to pass, that the scripture might be fulfilled, a bone of his shall not be broken.
Forty years before the Holy Temple was destroyed in 70 A.D. the Roman Caesar issued a decree forbidding death by stoning. This would surely break the bones of the condemned. The Jews used to stone people to death, but the Romans would crucify them.
7. And they take the blood, and put it on the two side posts and on the lintel, upon the houses wherein they shall eat it.
22. And ye shall take a bunch of hysop, and dip it in the blood that is in the basin, and strike the lintel and the two side posts with the blood that is in the basin; and none of you shall go out of the door of his house until the morning.
23. For the Lord will pass through to smite the Egyptians; and when he seeth the blood upon the lintel, and the two side posts, the Lord will pass over the door, and will not suffer the destroyer to come in unto your houses to smite you.
Applying the blood is of great significance. The Lord has already died; Why is it that many sinners today are still perishing? There is only one reason. They have not applied the blood.
How was the blood applied? It was put on the lintel and the two side posts of their doors, with the rest left in the basin. So that the top and bottom and the right and left were all marked and surrounded with blood. The cross of our Lord Jesus reaches in all directions. Top and bottom, right and left. Blood from the crown of thorns at the top. Blood from the nails driven through his hands, right and left and a single spike driven through both ankles below. And the blood of the lamb dripping unto the earth.
Hysop, is the smallest of plants. (l Kings 4:23} The New Testament also mentions the smallest seed, the mustard seed. This mustard seed was used by the Lord to illustrate our faith. The blood of the lamb had to be applied with hysop by the Israelites. In like manner, the blood which we have must be applied with faith. Although our faith is small, we must nevertheless, use this small plant of faith to apply the blood.
God declared: "When I see the blood, I will pass over you." (Exodus 12:13)
The "I" is God Himself. Passover, therefore, means that God passes over when He sees the blood. The blood is not seen by us, because it is not given to us to see. We must consequently use faith. Though we may not see it or feel it, we simply believe. The blood is for God to see. The question for us is; Has the blood been applied? If the blood has been applied there is no more need to be worried.
It was God who saw the blood in Egypt, not the firstborn who saw it. When God saw the blood he passed over. Being saved or not being saved hinges on whether or not you believe in Christ and His blood. When God today sees the blood applied he passes over. He only looks at the blood of the lamb of God. apart from the blood, nothing can save us. The blood stands between God and man. We have sinned. Therefore we are sentenced to death. But we can escape by trusting in the death of the lamb of God as our death.
Hebrews 9:27 states it is appointed unto man once to die. Not twice can physical death seek a person. Only once, it cannot seek twice. If we have already died in Christ we escape death.
Exodus 12:8.
8. And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; and with bitter herbs they shall eat it.
The flesh of the lamb was to be eaten within the house. The blood applied is for God to see, but the flesh eaten is to nourish our bodies. The Lord Jesus as the lamb to be eaten is given to us by God to be taken in so as to give us strength. Salvation includes God's satisfaction and our transformation. The blood satisfies God, while the eating of the lambs flesh transforms us. When you eat the flesh of the lamb, it becomes digested within you and becomes you. We become flesh of His flesh and bone of His bone. If you have put up the blood on the outside but have not eaten the flesh of the lamb, There will be little transformation in your life because you will be weak, not having the strength to be an over coming believer. you must eat the flesh of the lamb in that night in which you put up His blood.
The work that Christ has done has a two fold effect. The outside so that God may be pleased and He works inside of us so that our life may be fulfilled.
How we emphasize the substitutenary aspect of the death of Christ and yet overlook the life aspect of His work. We usually only persuade people to believe in His blood that has been shed for us, but rarely exhort them to receive Him into our heat to be our Lord as well as our savior. So that He may then deliver us from the power of sin.
The children of Israel had to eat the flesh of the lamb because early the next morning they would have to begin the journey. We likewise today must eat till we to are full, and thus shall have strength to go on our way. Why is it that many find themselves unable to walk through the wilderness? Because they have not eaten well.
Exodus 12:8-10.
8. And they shall eat the flesh in that night, roast with fire, and unleavened bread; with bitter hers they shall eat it.
9. Eat not of it raw, nor boiled at all with water, but roast with fire; it's head with it's legs and with the inwards thereof.
10. And ye shall let nothing of it remain until the morning; but that which remaineth of it until the morning ye shall burn with fire.
Roast with fire; Fire points to the Holy Spirit in the love of God. To eat the flesh of the lamb by roasting symbolizes for us that in receiving as our life we must receive Him in the power of the Holy Spirit and not in man's way or in his natural strength. In accepting Jesus as savior, we receive eternal life. In like manner by taking Him as Lord we have eternal victory.
Leaven signifies sin: and that which is leavened means that sin has been eliminated. The Bible explicitly states that on that night long ago when the blood was applied the flesh of the lamb must be eaten and sin must be gotten rid of. Everyone who receives Jesus as saviour should eat the flesh, in the night, as well. How abnormal we are if it requires a long time after we are saved to accept Christ as our Lord to.

According to the Bible, some are blinded...spiritually. Jesus did celebrate the Passover, and some Christians still do ( I celebrare with other Christians, annually, as instructed) Jews don't believe Jesus is the Messiah...( Aren't they in for a surprise!) To some, Jesus was just a prophet..
God will wake up those who don't see, in the future. If you have Jesus, in your life, be very grateful! It is such a special calling, and I am thankful for this!

do 2 dots and a horizontal line between them inherently look like a face?
no, due to the way the human mind works, we correlate that gross configuration of shapes to a face, and thus, to us, it immediately looks like one.
for someone with their mind pre-set to think "jesus" as your preset truth, that Psalm 22 looks like it points to jesus more than it points to a dozen other people in history.
http://www.breslov.com/ref/Psalms22.htm btw is a proper translation...
and Passover has nothing to do, whatsoever, in any way with jesus. it is rememberance of the exodus from egypt. any inclusion of jesus, or the messiah, or anything of that sort, is something fabricated by christians and christians disguising themselves as jews.
the jewish messianic age involves bringing heaven to earth, the kingdom of god being realized here on earth, not some abstract spiritual thing. we already HAD and HAVE spiritual "salvation" without jesus.
maybe YOUR faith in god is such that he'd go back on an agreement, but the god of judaism would not.
