ID is the religious way of Scientifically explaining the creation of the universe....Religious people who believe this will tell you that Space and time exist...and something had to have created them....even if the earth had evolution, space and time couldn't have just appeared...so something had to have created them. But anyone who thinks rationally will ask, What makes people think the God of Christianity or Islam did this...and Secondly if A god Created Space and time then who created that god? You can go as deep as you want on that subject and sadly It will never fully be answered.

Intelligent design is about both in a way. It says that a being created us, but it doesn't say who or which god that being was.
As for as science, it uses the scientific method to show how all of life was designed rather than just happened. It uses science to poke holes in the evolution theory. It looks at problems with carbon dating, the fossil record, etc.
(Religion studies God. Science studies His creation.

Both. A lot of people think that if you believe that everything was created by a higher power it was all hocus pocus. You know, God just snapped his fingers and here we are. I believe in God but I think creation involves science and the laws of physics. Of course I cant explain it any more than someone who believes in evolution can explain that. As humans we have insatiable thirst for knowledge and are very curious as to why things happen. A truly smart person realizes how little they actually know and the more they learn the more questions they have.

It's religion that pretends to be science. I think Sister Fire's answer sums it up....She says intelligent design "proves" that a Supreme Being spoke to create life.....Really? What, exactly, is the proof? I'm dying to know....

ID is a load of hogwash - its just the ratbag creationist liars and deluded fools in another set of funny hats. It has nothing to do with religion or science but everything to do with lining the pockets of a few dozen preachers, some of whom might actually believe the nonsense they spout. Well, ignorance is bliss, or so they say. Some of these preachers got most of their qualifications out of a plain brown envelope. Others had real scientific qualifications. See for example -

I haven't looked into the particulars. I would imagine it's an
