It is very hard for a compliment to be taken seriously. What are the most sincere compliments you have ever been paid? Some appear sincere but are almost sarcastic.

I am a student nursing, just a year away from qualifying. I recently had a placement in A&E and I loved it. When I left my mentor and the charge nurse both said it had been great to have a student who was not afraid to get stuck in and deal with all the terrible situations that come through the door. The charge nurse said she would give em a reference if I needed one and that if I got a years experience on a medical ward once I'd qualified then she would hire me as a staff nurse. I have never felt so proud and honered before in my life. I think that was the most sincere and genuine compliment I have ever been paid.

I was on holiday and I walked pass this man and he said whoa you have the most beauitful eyes I have ever seen, may I say you are a very beauitful woman. To this day that memory makes me smile as I was on the beach at the time with no make-up on and rearly consider myself as attractive without my make-up.

A while ago now, my mum went to a mass reading by a medium and was picked out. at the time my hubby's brother had just died while his family were away so i was doing my best to get them home. mum started telling me about what the medium said in the supermarket and apparently he said that she had a daughter who was a bit airy fairy (yep) but she was making her proud. mum said it was true that i was making her very proud with my handling of the situation and we both started crying in the supermarket! the crisp aisle hasn't been the same since!

Someone I used to know once called me "beautifully twisted". It's the only compliment I've had that has stayed with me.

The best one I have ever recieved was from my daughters ex-mother in law....she told me there was a special place in heaven for me for the way I took care and watched out for my grandkids welfare. I took that one with pride.
