O Jesus, You suffered and died for us;
You understand suffering;
Teach me to understand my suffering as You do;
To bear it in union with You;
To offer it with You to atone for my sins
And to bring Your grace to souls in need.
Calm my fears; increase my trust.
May I gladly accept Your holy will and become more like You in trial.
If it be Your will, restore (Name) to health so that
we may work for Your honor and glory and the salvation of all.
Amen.
Prayer by Thomas Aquinas:
Give us, O Lord,
steadfast hearts, which no unworthy thought can drag downwards; unconquered hearts, which no tribulation can wear out, upright hearts, which no unworthy purpose may tempt aside.
Bestow upon us also, O Lord our God, understanding to know Thee, diligence to seek Thee, wisdom to find Thee, and a faithfulness that may finally embrace Thee.

I am a hospice nurse and I take care of patients in the nursing home. I don't know what your mom's situation is, but, sometimes it is the only option to be sure that an elder is safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I know many people feel as if they are letting down their parent by putting them in a nursing home. The only time it is a "bad" thing is if the nursing home is not up to standard and the elders are receiving poor quality care. I think that the best prayer you can ask of the Lord is to give you strength to make the right decisions and take care of both you and your mom in this trying time. good luck and God Bless

generally speaking ask GOD to guide, protect, help, aid, and assist both your Mother and the staff at the nursing home. help your Mother get well so She can live a healthy and prosperous life like She did before. GOD Bless and may HE guide you, your Mother, your family and the nursing staff in all things. Prayers and Blessings to you and yours.

No one can tell you a prayer to say, it has to come from your heart to God one on one. You can ask Him to look over her, protect her, and other things you want to say, BUT it has to come from YOU for HIm to respect your prayer. You CAN have others pray for her though, there is nothing wrong with that. ASk for peace for yourself in this situation, and also for the strength to deal with it too. Ask Him to guide and lead you in your decisions about this.

Try a psalm of lamentation like Psalm 22, which Jesus quoted on the cross, "My God, my God, why have you abandoned me?"
It ends on a positive note: "For God has not spurned or disdained the misery of this poor wretch, Did not turn away from me, but heard me when I cried out."
With love and prayers in Christ.
