I have travelled through most of Europe and my personal opinion is Greece. Although Athens is a jungle concrete city which is stifling hot in the summer, the rest of the country is so diverse and so picturesque for its size!
For instance, in the north-west you come across magnificent gorges and lakes and forests. The north-east is full of small dotted beautiful villages and wetlands full of wildlife (like the flamingo).
The West Ionian islands have some of the best beaches in the world (independent awards), see: Navagio, Porto Katsiki, Myrtos, Antipaxos.
The Peloponese is full of theatres, ancient ruins, history and wild flowers; Greece has the most species of wild flowers in all of Europe.
Crete is a magnificent island. Here you can find the longest gorge in Europe: The Samaria Gorge. The beaches here are truly overwhelming; check out: Chrissi island, Balos, Falasarna. And because of its subtropical climate, it contains the only wild palm tree forest in europe...

Hello dear!
Well, besides Greece, which is all year great, Italy, Spain and Portugal are similar to a large extend.
For certain times other suggestions would include:
Winter: Scandinavian and Central European countries
Spring: Balkan and France
Autumn: North European countries

Scenic? A couple: Norway - because of the fjords Russia - because of the never-ending snow white plains in winter and green carpets in summer, filled with unbelievably beautiful flowers and simply untouched by man nature Switzerland & Austria - The Alps are a-ma-zing, been there and loved the entire experience Greece - the beaches and all the little paradisiac islands Scotland - once again the nature is beautiful Tuscany, Italy - because it is! Lots more actually, hard to say which is most beautiful because it's all different, VERY.

I loved Ireland. Though some on here would argue about France and Germany, I tend to disagree.
The rolling hills, the mountains, the fields are beautiful!!

Fine people, food, guinness and culture just makes it heaven.

I'm biased & will say Turkey. In the south there are beautiful beaches & lots of greenery. Central Turkey & Cappadocia are awsome with the stone caves & almost desert-like landscape. Then the east is very mountainous. North Turkey is very lush along the Black Sea & they grow tea & hazelnuts there. Farther along the southern coast citrus is grown. Along the western coast you will find cotton & wheat growing, so it's a diverse country with lots to see, many ruins & caves. Lots of antiquity to see & visit.
