I get depressed sometimes and I feel better when I do something constructive and useful - like work. It really helps to stay busy - this way, you get out of your head by focusing on something else and you keep yourself from dwelling on whatever it is that's getting you down. Also, I find it very uplifting to make it a point to find someone else who is down and I try to help them out of their slump - you might be surprised at how much that can help you to feel good about yourself.

Depression is an odd illness as it can last a short period of time, a few days or so especially if there is a life changing event but if it is severe and you are thinking of hurting yourself or others, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency facility, not a quick care facility as they may not be able to hospitalize you. There are phone numbers in the phone book with trained persons who will listen and can help you sort out how serious your depression is. Good luck, Suzanne

Hey, when I am depressed, something that makes me feel really good is going shooping and spending lot's of money. But, there are diffrent ways people can make there selfs happy you just have to dig down deep inside and find what works for you! :-)

Watching a good movie. Surfing the internet. Shopping. Talking to friends. Chocolate!

when my bf was depressed I remeber all that made him feel good was to have somebody who understands him in that moment and reassuring him that everything will be fine! Cheering up was definitly a baaaaad idea coz it makes that somebody feel even more depressed as he can't feel happy no matter what he does!

For me when I am depressed.....I spend time with my kids...they know how to make me feel better in their own special ways. My Daughter gives me lots of hugs & kisses....My son makes me laugh.....
If my kids aren't around...I call friends...or I go to the park that is close to my house & walk the trail there....helps me to clear my head & work through the things that made me sad....

when im depressed i cry and that makes me feel better and i also talk to the person that made me feel depressed

some achievments of urs
company of the pplz u love
A good book or a movie
but i wud preffer one should spend time with small kids n u wud be relived of depression

Making a list of all the positive things in my life, which gives me hope.

Im also a Christian, and my hope comes from the Lord.

crying can help,
cleaning up
cooking,
getting stoned,not very good idea for depressed people.
movies
shopping
going outside for some fresh air
